Slink Physique Original – Redux Bakes on Mesh – Giz Seorn and a Sasy Crusade
So every once in a while I have ‘inspired thoughts’, in the past I called them Thunks! but generally speaking they are just little Sasy Crusades. On Sundays years ago, I used to suggest people comment ten times, I felt that with all that everyone does in the realm of Blogging that it is so rare these days to see comments at all, and even pictures on Flickr you see praise for a picture, but there is no real communication on if that picture did something to inspire someone else, or in Blogging, made someone run to the store and get an item they saw. Or for that matter maybe it lead someone to a store that they had never been because of the overall styling of a picture. In the olden days, Creators used to send Bloggers items well in advance of a release, there was the time to do that back then, Bloggers caught errors, they had time to style and they spread the word like wildfire through the grid that something was coming. Releases are different now, but Blogging is to reach a bigger audience, and to show things in ways that may grab attention more so than the stores own advertisement. Creators have gotten much better at presenting their work, but while they may show the pieces in the way they imagined them, someone else may use them in a way that reaches someone in a different way.
These days Blogging has a lot more pressure going on to perform, I recently as mentioned before left all Blogotex groups, and have left most other groups I was in. I have a few but generally speaking I shop a lot, and always have, and however that happens it is important to me to let those that inspired that shopping know it. I was going through flickr the other day and two things stood out to me, and I saved the images because I wanted the items and that was what made me think to do, what I thought to do. I made a banner, that when I think of it, because sometimes my crusades roll away – won’t lie life happens – but the intention for me anyway is to acknowledge that that persons picture or post, is the reason I went to that store and spent money, or grabbed demos, or made note to visit it again in the future. It was that person whether a full blogger, a photographer or just someone taking a snapshot that happened to mention where something came from that got my attention, and whether they have 5000 views or 15 they still mattered to someone, someone that discovered something by way of their willingness to share it. Another reason that not crediting things is not fun for those that seek information.
It has always been my way that if I inspired one person to go discover a store or an item that I shared, that that was really awesome, and I still believe that. So today two peoples images sent me to two stores, one I have shopped at many times, but the item worn was what made me stop in my tracks, and the other was a store I have known but not shopped at. One of the pictures was by Nadja Baxter, who is an incredibly stylist, photographer and just an incredible asset to Second Life and I am so glad to know her. It was this PHOTO and the Skirt had me running to the store and fatpacking that and the t-shirt pack I am wearing in the post, which lead to shorts I already owned. So thank you Nadja Baxter for your work. Then the other PHOTO by Mara Rage – someone who I have only been following the past few weeks how lucky am I – had this incredible hair on, and I just had to have it, and then of course a pack of a top that I could not resist, so thank you also for your work Mara.
I had so much fun putting this whole look together, the hair needed ears, and attitude, which the top by coincidence had with the military symbol option…then I wanted some boots that made me think of Utopia Design, but then that lead me to these heels which I did not already have so grabbed those off of Marketplace. Then looking for some fingery stuff, I ended up at Realevil and the next thing I knew I was buying three different belly piercings, not only because they were cute, but that they include so many size options and both Slink so that just worked out fortuitous seeing as I am still doing the Slink Physique Original posts.
I am just glad that my crusade was so much fun for me at least, and if you want to use my banner to let other people know that because of them you shopped 🙂 feel free. To be clear, this is for me to let others know they did something that made me go running, and I am so lucky we have so many ways to get as much information as possible about Second Life Content. It also means even if an item I buy does not end up on a blog, at least I am showing my support for the person that shared the info, sometimes we do not know if that comes across :).

Slink Physique Original – Redux Bakes on Mesh – COCO
I logged in and was feeling very funky this morning the good funky not the bad one, and that could only really mean that I was needing to get my 70’s groove on. I went to COCO a beloved store and as they also include Slink Physique Original in all releases it was just making sure I was not missing anything in a recent-ish release. I grabbed this oversized coat in the candy pack of colours, I mean I can go back and grab the black or what not any time, but today did not want to give myself the chance to wimp out and not give some vivid colour splash. I actually started with a blue look, then realised I have done blue this week, and I love some yellow and red, so here it is. Pairing it up with some fantastic flares and a cropped turtleneck also from COCO I was ready. Now do not get mad at me, but sometimes a girl just has to dive into her historical inventory and pull out hair she knows by name and location in folders because it is much loved, but sadly no longer an available item as BettiePaige Voyager of BP* fame left us a long time ago. Her store was amazing and this hair was just one of the most epic styles.
Once I had my outfit all sorted, I wanted a chance to check out the Mila updates I had of my previously purchased skin appliers, and body appliers now in Bakes on Mesh versions. Everything works as it should, and looks great as a bakes on mesh layer. adding some beautiful lipstick from Pink Fuel and whipping up some eyeshadow, because bakes on mesh just makes me want to do such things. I went on an expedition for some footwear.
I knew what kind I wanted and nailed it straight away, with these stunner platforms by Ohemo, which is a store by Aleida Rhode, who has created just about everything over the years. These very cool platforms are just what I wanted and needed, and come with options of floral detail or just leather, so many options and so inexpensive, with a store group to join for free that gets you a discount when wearing the tag shopping.

Slink Physique Original – Sn@tch & AlaskaMetro
I had heard that Alaskametro was having a sale on selected applier sets, knowing I had previously purchased the entire store I thought I may have missed something. It ended up that I didn’t have maybe two things, but the really exciting thing is that the items that are on sale if you purchase the Omega versions, include Bakes on Mesh layers, so that is a definite must have for anyone that has any future plans of using Bakes on Mesh. While there though I ended up checking out the skins, and this skin called Kate is just lovely. The body layers are separate, but at this time there was matching updates in play so I went with the way it comes as is, and the body work and skin work on Alaska’s skins are always great. It had a no brow option and it was made for heads, but I did still end up using the nosefix, with no tinting needed, some finger and toes tips covers and the lip corrector but that was just because it is the coolest new toy I have. The skin is so inexpensive that if you are wanting to play with bakes on mesh and haven’t tried yet, this would be a great starter skin, it was not on SALE but definitely go and grab all the make up goodies.
Now not sure where my mind went, but I just knew that I needed to go to Sn@tch after that, it is one of those stores that I just feel a real need to catch up with every so often, and off I went, and right at the front was this divine wrap cardigan set and it was on some kind of reduced because people bought it something or other machine, but the second that I saw it had both Slink sizes included it was a no hesitation situation, because I get to play even more with my run of wearing Slink Physique Original in my posts. The colours it comes in are beautiful and the style is so classy, I even put a tank on under it at one point but decided on a more elegant casual look. The velvet jeans are also from Sn@tch and it all came together perfectly.
Wanting to add a bit of glitz, I went with a much older jewellery set by Zaara, who I still say every time needs to make more Jewellery. This is so old it needed me to lock my neck into place so it didn’t stay in position and have my head moving all about, nothing to do with the necklace just how it all is, but it just draped so perfectly in the space left by the open cardigan, a definite match made. Then down to the feet and these super high platforms (not even the stores highest) are from Renegade, who does fantastic footwear, have amazing materials options as well as colour choices in the HUD. Very sexy styles and definitely worth fatpacking as many as you can carry.
Unrelated to my outfit, well I have some green and gold on, so not completely. I did happen to adventure over to the Bushfire Wildlife Benefit -fundraiser being held this long weekend (down here in Australia it is Australia Day weekend) and many creators have come together selling with donations and raffles of lovely prizes, you can buy raffle tickets from the machines for the chance to win amazing prizes, so if you wanted to donate anyway, there is a chance you could win something epic. There are so many things going on with this event, as well as music performances and as I mentioned lots of prizes. I hope you can take the time to drop by and buy some tickets. Teleport
Happy Australia Day to everyone, and thank you all for the support that people have been showing all across Second Life with their kind words, and consideration of the things that are happening in this country. There have been losses that are so shocking, and the world overall has been pretty awesome in their attention to the help needed.

Slink Physique Original – Agave
Many times over the years I have talked about Blogging fate and how things just coincidentally happen that make me think that some kind of serious voodoo is going on. Such was the case when I blogged Vinyl yesterday and it made me think of the store that spun off from that called Agave. Agave is Vinyls husband in RL and he created his own SL business in the middle of last year. I got busy, but when I was seeking the store out yesterday, I found this amazing dress that somehow I missed the release of completely, but that to me is fate though, because had I seen it when I was busy it may be swimming around in the depth of my inventory a lost soul. So I grabbed the demos ( I always demo) and was super excited as it included both Slink sizes, Physique Original and Physique Hourglass, so that seemed to be another thing encouraging me to keep on my focus on Original. I fatpacked the dress because it is just gorgeous, the fit is superb, the texture change ribbons are beautiful, which also fall tantalizingly down the plunging back of this dress, and just rest perfectly enough to tickle your tush as you dance the night away.
Then I remembered a pair of boots that I had rediscovered in my inventory a few weeks ago, somethings float to the surface, and put them on. Now I had already chosen my colour scheme, the blue was rich and just perfect to stand out in a most likely all black wearing crowd, with the baby pink ribbons and then putting on the boots with a hud that had so many colours to chose from they were almost identical, that is rare, especially with real colour colours. I was squeeling. Then adding in the option to select and colour bits and pieces of the boots, just perfect. But it did not stop there.
I was pouring through my system layer skins, thinking come on, something I have not played around with yet, and saw my Lara Hurley skins, mostly appliers but a few system layers, and I wore the first one in a set and COME ON the make up is actually part of the skin and if that is not Bloggers fate I do not know what is. Not only was the skin perfect but with Izzie’s help this not only worked seamlessly but her latest MUST HAVE items is Lip Corrector layers for bakes on mesh, and wow did they work on this skin. The very first one turned the skin from being overly darkened inner mouth that would not work on a mesh head, to perfectly working. The first one in the stack just genius, if you do not have these yet you need to get your hands on them they are ridiculously awesome. They may not work with everything, that is how SL is, but so far all win for me. I even included a little gif
[wpvideo ZrztzFU1]
I needed some statement pieces and Mandala is a definite go to for that, and sure enough again, pink and blue in the right tones to just work perfectly, and yes I am that kind of colour coordinated person. I love this whole look, it is a perfect kind of in the now Mod look and I want more.
Agave make me more gorgeous dresses please, I can wait *taps foot*.

Slink Physique Original – Vinyl
So I logged in today as I was feeling kind of pastel like, which of course ended up more Sunny than Pastel, but as I tend to love yellow I was all good with that. I by habit put on an item that was sheer, the sheer part was not the habit, but the size option was, so I had put on Slink Physique Hourglass size, and then realised because I was sheer it did not fit, it took my mind a moment to remember I was still in my Slink Physique Original bundle body from a previous post, and I was all good with that…I decided to run with it.
Vinyl has included Slink Physique Original since the start, the skirt I am wearing is an earlier item so much so that it includes Standard Sizing as well, so I would have been covered either way. I love this skirt, it has options for the straps, the layers, the metals, the colours are lovely and it just has a perfect boho fun to it that I really like. The cami top is relatively new and you get the option to change the strings separately from the top itself, so pretty together and like minded colouring made it all just deliciously joyful. The skirt style had me reaching for some Gladiators, the skirt just had that kind of quality to it, and these Gladiator boots by Ison were just perfect, an older style but perfection none the less and made for the Slink Mid feet height, which just makes them perfect for day wear.
Things that compliment each other just had me reaching for these earrings that I knew I had, to team up with one of my wonderful LODE hair accessories, I can never have too many of these, they always make me so happy, and the insects on the earrings just made it perfectly symbiotic for me.
I have been using the Izzie’s Bom nosefix layers for weeks now, and realised that in playing with them, I had not actually played with them with an actual Izzie’s skin, for shame. So I did just that and am wearing Delusional which is just hilarious to me today. I actually pulled out a lot of Izzie’s to put this look together, the nail fixers for the skins are also on MP and are free to go with her actual skin tones, then because there were a few more pores in the skin vs the nose fix I added her pores layer tattoo option so that and some make up, her hairbase and I was all set. The skin I am wearing did not have a no brows option, so I am wearing some brows not by Izzie’s that fit so smoothly over that it worked out great.
I had created another GIFT set of nails when the new Extra Long Nails by Slink were released for Slink Dynamic Hands. I was inspired by the mention of Unicorns and with the added length the kind of twirly look works. They also have materials, and the newer HUD and I love them, which is handy because that way I can wear them, and I think it is important to love what you create, going back through my sets to update has made me ooo and ahh because I got lazy and had over two hundred to choose from. If you have any of the previous sets and you love a particular one, let me know and I can try and put it to the top of my list for updating :).

Slink Physique Original – Ingenue and The Food Court
//embedr.flickr.com/assets/client-code.js
Before we had mesh bodies we had Standard Sizing and alpha layers, we wore SL default bodies and in some cases add on parts to make them better. We had Slink Feet and Hands, there were lips, and bottoms and add on chests and we were a mish mash of pieces. Standard Sizing fit everyone willing to change their shape sliders to fit into the size parameters, and life was good. I was lucky enough to have a shape already that fit xs lower and s upper straight away no tweaking needed.
Then Slink Physique Original came along and it was so close that if you had a Standard Sizing shape, then Standard Sizing clothing fit, this was before we had fitted mesh at all. So for those of us that jumped on the Slink Original ride, nothing for us changed, everything fit, blogging was still so easy, but we were smoother and prettier. The Slink Physique Original body was perfect for me, it fit every criteria I needed in a body because when I worked and dealt with the public, I tend to dress the part, more classic lines, professional clothing, and it worked very well.
The body itself is not overly sexualised, but it can also be incredibly sexy, it is also a great athletic shaped body with leaner lines and for those that may be wanting a less girly look it is a great option. I have seen people embrace the petites add ons with the body also, slimming down their shape even further with the smaller breasts options, and it is remarkable how different you get to look. I like that we have more body type options, that for those that do not want to put it all out there with the curvier looks they have the options to be more svelte or just more themselves. I like that there are bodies that can go the other way, curvier, larger, and even those that break the parameters of realism entirely, it gives us what Second Life is meant to be about. The options is what makes SL great, and when creators embrace as many of those options as they can realistically handle (only the person doing the work knows how much work they can take on) it just adds to the overall experience.
Ingenue has recently started creating clothing again, and has incorporated Slink Physique Original into her creations as well as alpha layers for bakes on mesh which is fantastic and forward planning. Many would know her for footwear only, but in the early days she started out with Hair and Clothing and some amazing lingerie styles. Ingenue pretty much went what people would refer to as Viral the day she released her vintage hairstyles, and she was off and running ever since, a perfect staple creator for anyone with the love of classic pieces and that casual but still elegant vibe she has going on. I ran over to the store today and grabbed the fatpack of these pants, together with this top and the shoes I feel like I am ready to pick up a broom handle and start stretching and twisting and having myself a Marvelously Maisel kind of day. It will definitely help with all of these empty pixel calories that I picked up at The Food Court event last week, that event is a must visit and is going to be twice a year, so get a wriggle on if you have not been.
There are whole collections of delicious treats and some amazing items to collect with gacha’s however I do wish we could just buy stuff, playing something in the hope of getting that thing is rough, luckily for me I just play machines that I like it all and have no interest in having all the pieces, I am the customer that benefits the most from Gacha in that way, and Whimsy and I nearly always get rares, especially when trying to just get commons. My usual rule of Gacha play is, I play as much as I would spend on one of the items, and if I get something more than twice I stop. The layout of the event was really nice, and the seating areas made it very cool to just sit down relax and cam around. However as always I just kept the booth to my left and started walking until I got back to the start, very easy event, and it cost me a small fortune because nearly everything looked delicious or was amazingly reasonable in price to just grab and own.
I am wearing some nailpolish appliers I updated to just make it more up to date skills wise overall, plus I have fancier new HUDs now, and I hand drew this set to really embrace my Aussieness 🙂 it is free on marketplace, and I hope you enjoy it. I am also having a lovely time with this hairstyle by Exile, that brings all my high ponytail love to fruition, with the hairbase by Izzie’s this style is just wonderful and it has bangs options as well as left right side, so make sure you get your Kat on from Collabor88.

Shop n Hop with Sasy pt 5
No video today it is roasting hot down here and I have so many fans going full throttle it would be a very noisy piece indeed. I mentioned in my last post that some of the build items at Shop n Hop did not have demos available, prim limits, size of location etc, so be sure to visit the booth, check out what you like TP to their store, have a look and go back and purchase. I was so hooked on the event though I logged in an alt to do the demos at the build and then just stayed still to buy, that is some serious shopping logic right there.
I am in a skybox at the moment by Minimal, I tend to buy skyboxes and smaller builds as backdrop options in the future, not to live in, but to use the great detailing that they may have as a prop for a photo, or a corner in this sense for a chair I also picked up at the event by Peaches. The chair has great poses for female and male, and the chair comes with a sofa and texture change HUD, and with the reduction the price is crazy worth it. There is so much going on in this loft that I will easily be able to get a half a dozen pictures easily out of it, if not more, so definitely take that into consideration if you like taking pictures.
Speaking of options, this mug by Schadenfreude is one of an adorable set (can be purchased individually) that come with not only multiple colours but also options of beverage, it is just a great set to have and with a bit of resizing to fit my hand (took seconds) I was all sorted and cozy in my chair. The more I am typing the more I am wanting to video and talk talk talk, so I am going to end it with that because I may just let this sit now, and come back to it when it is cooler, you never can tell.
The clothing are pieces from Shop n Hop, Tres Blah items most of them I had, but this sweater I missed somehow and love it with the bit of bra peeking out. The pants are part of an outfit set that Addams has available and they are just perfect jeans for chilling and have belt options and so much going on with the outfit itself. With the reduced prices on all things, they are must haves.
I made some alphas for the pants and the top, more of a sitting bending leg issue on the pants and a tiny bit of inner thighs, the top just armpits as is the case most of the time, a bit of arms etc. Because I have made them and they are actually placed in the folder of the items in my inventory, if you need them shoot me an IM if you are bakes on meshing like me.
Wearing another older Pink Fuel skin, this one is Harley and it is a gorgeous skin, has many additional options and I seriously just had this OH NO I CHANGED SKINS moment on crediting, and realised HA I got info from worn tab last night before I logged and because I am all system layers and mesh not HUDS and the like now, I have the information at hand, though I did know what I was wearing, but I get so excited every time I realise how much easier life is now with Bakes on Mesh.
