Offlines to Email in Second Life

Baiastice & Video on Second Life Offlines to Email

Years ago, four in fact, I wanted to do a post discussing capping and the information on offlines to emails, and how nothing should actually be missing, if done correctly. There will be times when SL does something odd, or when you are logging in and someone IMs you and you may lag out or even crash and that would not be saved, but all in all my 13 years in Second Life, I have probably missed less than half a dozen things in all that time. Offlines to email are so much a part of my every day, I even check them when I am in world, because sometimes sim crossing glitches can cause an IM you are in to send part of it to email, weird but true.

I hope the video helps assure you of how SL does work with offlines and how you can be confident in knowing how or what is the best way to communicate with someone. Whether it be IM or notecard, the reality is, all get through it is just up to the receiver how they collect the information.

This tank dress with bra option and customisable sneakers are by Baiastice and at this round of c88 I love them so much, I even did a colour change part of the way through the post.

AlaskaMetro Bakes on Mesh and how to change layer order in Firestorm Appearance

    [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfKOomtV_C8]

I am still enjoying so much my foray into all things Bakes on Mesh, the other day Whimsy and I hit up AlaskaMetro, as we had been over a few weeks back but it was time to go all in and grab items that we did not already own. I have been mixing up different palettes and styles, layering things over the top of eachother, as Alaska does great stains and glosses and makeup that fits really well with other makeup. No need to think about where it should go on the head or the body, just wearing adding and a tip on how to change the stacking order of same same layers in the video.

    Izzie’s Bakes on Mesh Updates

    Izzie's Bakes on Mesh Updates

     Free BOM Updates
I have this story about Izzie Button, I am pretty sure I have put it in here before, and I can assure you it is one of my go-to stories when it comes to discussing content creators in Second Life. It happened in 2010 I had done a blog post including some of Izzie’s items, and I went on to say how I would have loved the item as separate layers, as it would make the item even more versatile. A couple of hours later I got an IM from Izzie she had gone and redone the item, packaged it, updated it and it was now an item that could be worn multiple ways. It will be always how I think of Izzie, going above and beyond for her customers, and seeing her big vibrant Hellos in plurk and her overall enthusiasm as a creator. So when I heard that she was already including Bakes on Mesh layers in her more recent releases in the past year or so, I was not shocked….but then to see that she is calling out to her customers to ask them what much older items they would like to see her update to Bakes on Mesh, I just smiled and thought, yes, that is exactly what I would expect. But then she went further. If you run, do not walk, over to Izzie’s she has started her updates and they are FREE for a limited time so that people that have previously purchased them can scoop them up and refresh their inventories.

I am showing each update on its own and then a shot of me combining them. I am wearing a much older system skin from Izzie’s and the pores update just gives it a brand new lease on life.  What I love most about this, is that while I am wearing Simone Head by Lelutka for the post, as the updates were for Lelutka and others, I was able to change over to the newer Slink Visage heads that are Bakes on Mesh and bento, and everything fit beautifully, so even if the items are not for your own, try the demos, see how things work, as Bakes on Mesh can be very universal in many cases.
