Yesterday when taking these pictures I was cammed onto by a friend and the exclamation was ‘ When did that dress get made for bodies?’ much excitement erupted and a quick explanation that it was at ForMax. I had shopped until I dropped, then tpd back at least four more times, because the Fundraiser currently running to help Maxwell Graf is just awesome. Ison has created this stunning cocktail style dress with a beautiful assortment of rich colours. The detailing is superb and it fits snug to the body. I like it because of its structural style, but also because while it is incredibly sexy, it is not so over the top that someone that is not used to dressing up couldn’t feel very comfortable in it.

I am wearing it with the NEWest skin tone in the AlaskaMetro skin range, that is also released at ForMax. Much paler in tone than I usually wear, but as it was the only tone available and for a great cause I jumped on it. It also comes with appliers for all options, so depending on what you wear, you are close to covered. Make sure you demo though so that you know it works how you want it to for whatever head you wear, there are also skins included on system layers. She released a Crimson lipstick pack, and it is various stages of red, even some stains. The very rich red, the pale skin and the navy blue dress with black hair all worked so well for me. I was also lucky that some Ingenue Shoes @ForMax had the same Navy colour as the dress – claps excitedly – so perfect everything was working in my favour.

I was thinking of a red headband for my hair, and searching my inventory I put on this one from Adore&Abhor that I have had for years, that also had a colour HUD but chance would have it was already set to Navy…maybe it is a thing with me. I do think Navy is so complimentary to all hair colours, probably why I have worn it through my many colour choices of hair through my time in SL, but it is also classic and stylish.

The hair is a recent release by Tableau Vivant, and has this nifty strand that is a separate attachment for across the face. I ended up wearing it in the close up for a more movement look, and then removing it for the standing picture, which made sense to me, because it would not stay in place in all movement. It all came together perfectly, and then all I had to do was cam around my platform and find whatever Whimsy has left laying around and voila, instant location…she does this, and it is awesome.

In movies and sitcoms (usually) you hear people use the expression ‘ I hate to see you go, but I enjoy watching you leave ‘ or variations of the theme. Well, this look definitely brings up that kind of thought process, because when I tried the demo of these shorts and turned my camera around, I was definitely won over by the rear view. The way these shorts have been modelled is perfect, because the rolled up waistband, would literally cause the high lift at the back. Well done Bueno.

The look definitely started with the shoes though, I was over the moon when I first saw them on Facebook a few weeks back, and when I went to get them I realised that the event was closed and that it had been a month? where did September go? They are fantastic runners, so fun and exciting to wear. They come in many fits for different feet and bodies, and the straps and uppers have texture change options. So good, and I love that Daisa of Breathe gives so much range to her footwear, giving us daytime casual, daytime dressy, casual, dressy, formal and more options, that it is impossible to not want it all.

Speaking of Casual to Dressy, this hair by Besom is a messy uppydo, that just translates so well into both styles, be it at the Gym/Studio, or high fashion formal, it works, I like that in an uppydo. It is definitely all about that crossover as this beautiful top by Cynful is part of a Gown release, she liked the top part so much I am guessing that she wanted to give us the option to wear it in other ways, and I agree, it is perfect and I was over the moon when the Alex harness by Narcisse fit snugly under it and gave me a very different workout look. I love this harness, the buckles at the back and the cute little bow part that isn’t cutesie overload bow, but tailored, very cool indeed. It was made to accompany her Alex underwear set, but can be purchased separately.
