Ashia of Inventory Episode and I went to look at hair, then more hair, then a whole event and three pose stores. By the time we were done, I was spent, and spent a lot (see what I did there). I was all about this great top skirt combination outfit, that lets you turn off the skirt. The top is like a tunic, so wearing it over something like leggings was a straight away thought, making it so wearable and versatile.

The hair (That includes Male and Female versions) lead to the chair and the chair lead to the poses. No kidding, it is exactly how it happened, as once you find a store that seems interesting at an event, you should as often as possible tp over to the Main and buy even more goodies. Events now are the Malls of the past, they are miniature locations to see a sample of a brands wares and be aching for more.

The Nutmeg store had done a collaboration for the hair, and I wanted to see what it was they were all about, then realising they shared space with RK Poses that just turned out even more of a win. I hadn’t been to RK in a few months, so that ended up fun to catch up on pose packs and sets, as well as this awesome chair that they also collaborated with Nutmeg on. There is also that amazing weave tote bag on the floor by them, its decor only but I am wishing so much that it was a wearable.

I used some of the poses that came with the chair, and then used some that were sits sold separately, just using the chair to sit on and then overriding the pose. I even wore a different head for the occasion, which is funny to me, because I started out with all the love for Greer, ended up Spencer last and then stayed in her…so Greer was pulled out and re-worn and with the help of the divine skin by YS&YS it was love all over again.

Now speaking of love, these boots…I saw them on Facebook a few weeks ago, and it took probably all of half a second to be purchasing them on Marketplace. Now the hilarity of this is that I clicked Marketplace, I selected buy now, I got distracted by work stuff. Then about 20 minutes later I was back on Facebook and all GOT THEM! as a comment, then realised, wait, where are they? ran back to MP to find them still sitting in my cart, felt a bit silly, but would have felt more so had I not realised and not had them.

The leather work is stunning, there are many options of shiny for the leather with materials options. You can also select different parts of the boot to texture change with the HUD. They are fierce and definite MUST HAVES!

I am pushing this right to the end of the event. But you still have time to get over there and buy buy buy. I find the layout easy to navigate and the hair really easy to take home. So many great styles, many options, and such lovely colours, I interspersed some different ones in my video. I was feeling the pinks today, on top of my usual black, blonde and sometimes grey.

Hair is my first SL Love, followed by Shoes. Everything in between is just bonus awesome.

I was actually inspired by the NEW and about to be released Halloween inspired mood set by LeLutka, it will hit the store sometime today, and you get looped and unlooped versions of each type of animation, and seriously the Witchy one is the big win for us girls that tried in vain and were jealous of Elizabeth Montgomery for so many years. You will have seen what I am referring to in the video.

The animations work for boys and girls and the GROWL is HOT! I think it may have been meant to be scary, but it just came out hot.

I ran over to Epiphany again, because you never know what you may have missed the first time. I was there, I looked around and decided to do an aerial shot of the sim, then got carried away and added all the stores, so it may make it easier to find the booths you want first. I do recommend seeing it all, just keep the stores on your left and do the full circle.

I had another few spins of the Beusy hair, as I really wanted this add on ponytail, it has different options and comes with cat ears, but as it is the rare you can turn them off. I am using it with the LeLutka hairbase default on the head hud, but it does come with hair in mesh to cover the head also. I was having a great time with the Vinyl gacha, and I love the red in this shirt, I decided to do some investigating of my previous Vinyl love purchases and found the Troy skirt that had somehow been unpacked from a huge shopping spree I went on there one day. This skirt is everything, I must have lost my mind after buying it, to not have worn it many times already. So many texture change options and some great fabric bonus options in the fatpack.

It all came together perfectly, especially with the great new boots by Blueberry that are a main-store release. They have stockings you can turn off or keep on, and the heels have options to change also with all the fatpack options, you have boots for days, weeks, months even. Have fun shopping Epiphany, and while you are waiting to get in, you can visit Vinyl Main-store and Blueberry Main-store also.

Epiphany is about to unveil its multitude of magnificent machinations. So beguiling, so bewitching, so…ok I give up, I cannot keep typing like that it is nearly 2am. It was worth staying up as I got to have a run through of Epiphany and came home with everything that delighted me, lots of Hourglass items, and some fantastic decor. This time of the year means that there is a definite Halloween feel in some sets, but for the most part it is just fantastic looking combinations that will have you needing a bigger boat.

I went primarily for the Pixicat set, and I mean set, there isn’t an item in it that is not fantastic, in any of the colours. Tops and bottom pieces are also inclusive, so it is just incredible, and so classy. I got so many pieces, but definitely had to start with the latex, because Pixicat nails latex in the best of ways.

I worked it into the combination of this fine hair by Tableau Vivant and this gorgeous Asian inspired skin by Glam Affair, both of which are at this round of Collabor88. I had also purchased some appliers from Bossie,  and the liner set and brows just worked well into helping the look. I then made my own shadow and added the lipstick that comes with the Glam Affair skin and was having way too much fun. If you don’t use the personalise options on Slink bodies and LeLutka heads you are missing out on fun.

The pose used in the picture is actually from a couples pose by Purple Poses, also at C88, and it worked out a treat, as I look like I am either casting a spell or dancing until dawn, either way I am having a great time.

Whimsy left some trees around the platform and my lighting picked them up so well I ran with it….

I had been making lists of things that I want to do videos on, the list is getting bigger, and my videos were not happening. I decided to shoot one today, unfortunately for me, and possibly you, I am out of practice, and forgot some of my Camtasia editing options along the way. I put together something that may help someone use the Inventory filter options, and find it easier to clean, sort and just use their inventory to its capacity.

I also got dressed up in my super chic and casual look with some help from the latest items to hit Collabor88 and more. The top over these jeans is just so comfortable, and really set the tone for my white and denim vibe. The hat hair as always for me is a big YES, and this cap has text that you can choose to use, but as one of the options was Sassy I just laughed and turned it off, because even I am not that cheesey – ok I am.

I hope the video helps, there are some very obvious editing misfires, because some items showed up in my shots that should not have, nothing rude etc, just work related, so not really for anyone’s eyes but mine. I was watching some thriller horror type show the other day, the lady is in the house alone. She hears a noise, is disturbed by it, and instead of just getting up and being safe, she starts saying ‘ Hello, Who’s There’ I realised this happens a lot in shows like this, and honestly who is there is not going to say ‘oh it is me, Bob the burglar’ or ‘serial killer Stan here, just sharpening my knives’.  Such nonsense it takes all the fear away and makes you roll your eyes a little, mind you I now remember it was in the show Lucifer, and I forgive them because Lucifer is awesome…whoever cast that actor is a dead set GENIUS!

So I mentioned going to The Secret Hideout event and loving it, and the stairs prop that I shot under in the last post, well this is part of the upper portion, you really need this, because I could shoot another 20 posts easily with it. It is mod as I definitely needed to shrink it down the railing was above my head at first, but that is what is so great about it, it resizes really well for whatever size you are, or want to present.

The Black Fair another event I visited and mentioned had me buying everything in the Kaithleens booth. This stunner comes with the panties and has options to change the piping and so on, it also has a sheer option, so it just goes on as gorgeous for days. I am just going to put it out there, that if it was cut off just above the hips and made as a top, I would not complain…nudge, nudge.

The hairstyle by Mina was the perfect companion to the overall style of my look. The soft cascading braid, so pretty, so girly girl, with just the right amount of looseness to pretend not a lot of effort went into it, you know how sometimes you can just wake up next to your other half with perfect lipstick on…that may only happen the first 6 months though, after that it is a harder to keep up the pretence.

The other day girls were asking in SL Bloggers Support about an upcoming event called The Secret Hideout, it is now open, but it was a quick TP by all to check it out with early access. The event is very well laid out, done in circular roads, but so that it is easy to end up where you started by keeping booths to your left. I have a thing about that, I have to start with the store on my left side, then walk until I get back, then turn around and go the other way with the stores on my left. I cannot weave.

There are so many wonderful items there, leaning towards the macabre, but not in a too costumey way, definitely wearable in the every day. I grabbed this hair by Atomic there, it actually has a bow that you can hide, and widows peak bangs, which I am usually all for, but I loved this look with this outfit. The staircase I am under is at the event and an awesome picture taking prop. You will see more of it in another post, or when you go purchase it yourself.

I also visited Black Fair the other day and ended up grabbing everything I could get my hands on. This suit jacket is divine, and I was overjoyed when it fit so well over this harness that was also at the event by another creator. The harness has cute collar parts, and it also came with pasties built in, in case your jacket gapes. There were fantastic pants that go with too, and I did grab them in pinstripe – love me some pinstripe – but opted for a shorty look this time around.

It gave me a chance to show off my boots I picked up at the recent shoetopia that finished yesterday. If they are not already in the store, they should be soon, they are great for this kind of combination.

I was looking at my Flickr the other day, and someone had added me, so I checked them out and holy smokes, I spent an hour or so looking through their Flickr and wanted everything. No joke, I think I only left about 4 things behind in their store, and believe me it is a HUGE store of items. The glasses I am wearing are from boutique 187 and their accessories are just amazing, they have such incredible mesh skills, I was walking around in awe. I had originally started shopping on Marketplace, but just as I got to the limit of ten items in my trolley – Marketplace makes sure you don’t go nuts – I saw that if you go to the store and you join the group you can earn 25% store credit, now that is something to make the trip for, mind you, it was also because MP was going to make me shop in batches and that takes all the fun out of it. I actually like shopping in person, and you never know if a Marketplace store is up to date or not, but the reason I ended up in theirs was because they put an image in their flickr telling you they had just updated it.

I also try and shop in stores as often as possible, while Marketplace is a great feature in Second Life, the stores pay a percentage of each purchase to Marketplace, and they also pay rent for their stores, so I would rather help pay their rent, than commission, plus it is nice to get some air that is not platform air.

This skirt by Mutresse had me wanting to film just my bottom going side to side, but I decided that possibly only I would get a thrill from it, and I had more pressing things to do. The reason is the fabric, and while fabric is a thing to wrap your head around in some cases in SL clothing, this is one of those situations where there is no denying what it is made of, and they nailed it. If I am wrong,  I will argue to the death. But the fabric is that fantastic marvel that is the super enforced stretch, that is thicker than lycra, has perfect sustainability, and you do not have to spend the whole night pulling it back down because it has the weight needed to only ride up that little bit you want it to anyway.

Everything about it is perfect, and then they added the ability to change the colours in parts. Mutresse always does that, yes, and I point it out every time, but how awesome is the style in the first place and then to be able to mix it up, I mean there are a billion options for wear. So many things change, that you could be there for hours. Lucky for me it was a quick decision on the colours and my accompanying items had very similar palettes. I loved the final outcome, the hint of creamy browns and the antique rose against the startling white, just made for fun.

It allowed me to use the options on these gorgeous shoes that Rebel Hope released for Shoetopia. They are stunning Maryjane/Oxfords which have the option of texture change upper and lower portions in the fatpacks so you can have an abundance of fun. I am also all about the accessories, with this great necklace by MG being a C88 release, the strands also change colour, and the metals of the chain, so you have a great mix of leather and metal. Then the gloves are by Baiastice and they are bento, so if you have not bentod up your hands – Free updates to bento if you already owned Slink hands – then it won’t matter as the gloves will change poses if using a bento pose. The bag is by Mowie a newish to me store, I have been perusing their wares for a while, but this bag just popped at me, and it has many great colours to mix and match with.

The luxurious locks of hair by Exile, are also at Collabor88, two styles available, and this one just resonated with the softness feel I wanted. I also went out there with the colour mix of super dark roots with grown out blonde, I think the jig is up about whether I dye my hair or not.

The Furniture pieces are a mix of Cheeky Pea at many different locations, including their store, the hockey sticks are older pieces I could not resist putting on the wall of the Loft Skybox that Cheeky Pea created for TMD event. The baskets which I resized bigger, I tend to do that with Cheeky Peas decor pieces they always resize so well. Then the lovely rug and sofa are all part of a set at Fameshed.

The Rustic Screen, however, is by Flair which means it is by me. I made this for the ForMax event that has a few days left to help Maxwell Graf. The screen comes in single colour options or the pack which is texture change and you can mix up the frames and woven wood parts in the three colour options. I mixed the Neutral frames with the White wood. I also included single panels, so that you can use them to create your own decor, either against or on a wall or build a fence with them, whatever you like.

Last week I spun on over to Project7, an event that had some great pieced to pick up. I grabbed this great prop while there and the add on poses. Fox City has a great range of poses and props like this one, and they do their own fantastic photography and even some tutorials on Youtube. A couple of months ago Whimsy and I were running around their store, after she came across this video.

The scene made me laugh, as just leaning back against the metal frame out front, I felt like I had many many times when finishing a shift – hospitality – and the sun is coming up and you reek of smoke, and you just want to go home and relax. You also have to remember to dress for those early hours, because the heat of work vs the chill of the morning usually very opposite needs.

I put together this look with the pants and boots being the perfect start off point and building up from there, from tips of toes in these Gabriel boots that are at Shoetopia, to the great beanie hat/hair by Besom, and oldie but a greatie! and I am excited to see that there are plans for a new beanie style coming soon.

I had purchased this Military coat from Coco some time ago, and running over to Sn@tch the perfect place for appliers I was able to find this great skivvy look. The pants are all win by sYs because they are the best length for boots, they have a great cargo/military casual feel and just work in all colours available. I love the combination and I hope you do too.

I recently purchased this hair, and one of the things that I noticed and was grateful for on the HUD, were the options for breast size. I do not have overly large ones, but some hair sits much flatter than others. What was also on the HUD was Booty options, bringing the hair away from the rear and I chuckled at that at the time, because it was not needed.

OR SO I THOUGHT! I put on the Hair, as it was worn a lot during the last few weeks, things that are in my recent folder often are.

I put on these incredible boots by Breathe that are their Shoetopia release. Shoetopia is open until the 9th of October and is a Beautiful cross section of Shoe Creators of Second Life. Make sure you visit. The boots are stunners, the fabric makes the colours really rich and luxurious in feel. The laces can be changed in colour, and I like the attention to the back of the thigh having a split that gives you more movement ability, purely a mind thing, but as a shoe lover, it means something to see those additional attentions to realism.

The combination of boots and hair, made me very powerful and from there the addition of this gorgeous baby-doll dress by Tee*fy just tipped the scale right over. Then I did a run around of my look,  everyone should always do that to make sure nothing is where it shouldn’t be, and realised my hair was cutting into my dress. Now normally that would make me either not care too much, when you are a long time in Second Life you tend to let that kind of thing go, or would change my hair…then I remembered the chuckle and grabbed the HUD and turned on the booty option, and lo and behold, it is not just perfect for if you have more going on back there, but it is the perfect option for when your clothing flares out. This is genius, so if you have this hair, try some clothing with it that may do so, and you will get a lot more wear out of your hair.

As far as accessories go, both need a big mention. The choker is by Cynful, and is part of their Andressa gown purchase. It is beautifully done, more detail than expected, and fit like a charm. The gloves are a Gacha by Masoom and I love this set, they are number 7 and I got them first spin. I did continue to play though because they are great to own, and fit my Slink Dynamic hands so well, and you also get Silver & Gold options included, where as you know I am always leaning Silver, but sometimes something else you have only has gold, so you need that back up.
