Shine a light on me
Wearing Sunday hair on a Sunday for me, means that you get to shop today and wear tomorrow and still be on theme. Of course why would you want to limit yourself this hair is wonderful. Not only is the style great, but the scarf option and its texture change colours and prints just makes it so many options of wear. There is also an unrigged without scarf option, so just from the start it is two styles in one.
It is the last 10+ hours of My Attic for this round, and I will be sorry to see it end…I have met some lovely people at the event, as well as had some comical occurances. I of course have my own Flair items up, some being the Flair nails, and others being the combined efforts of W.Winx and Flair. We did a fun pose prop set, three of them actually with playing cards and pin up style poses, you can see ours, as well as everything HERE.
Collabor88 is also in it’s last week, with the items being shown today being just perfect for the theme. The Betty swing dress is from The Secret Store, and it is a great swishy dress, for swishing and swaying all over the place. There are other colours and prints, but this black was amazing, it is not easy to get black to look perfectly black and still have some shine to it, but this dress has that in spades. It also has a texture change belt option, so I added some contrast with the red, seeing as red, white and black look so striking together.
It also gave me the chance to take my new pet poodle by MishMish for a stroll around my studio. Not only is it so sweet looking, but if you click on it, you get really nice messages of love and fun, then also when you walk it walks and when you sit it sits.
If its only 10+ hours left of My Attic, then that means it is only 10+ hours left until the opening of The Arcade. Two of the items in this post are must haves from the event. The first is the light I am leaning against. It is by 8f8 and not only is it perfectly pretty and I really wish it was possible to get copy versions of them for decorating a sim…but it also has a resize script in it, which worked out great, otherwise it would not have been visible in my picture. It is actually part of an incredible Ice Dreams set you can see more of on the shopping guide linked below.
The other items are these Jolie shoes by Ingenue, they are made for the Slink High feet, and are a lovely extremely high vintage style shoe. Honestly with that high a heel it is no wonder I need to lean against a light and rest my gams. I don’t usually wear stockings, but as soon as I put this look together I knew it needed them…off I went down to Lacuna Inc and there were the Semi Opaque hipster tights. They come in packs of four colours and work with appliers for Slink feet as well.

I often wonder what would happen if I just did a credits only blog post. We joke all the time about it, how people would assume that there was more being said by me not talking, than if I was to talk, because I generally talk so much. I wonder about that, if people that do read my blog would be surprised if I just suddenly had no words, would you ?
I was hopping around today and came across this store on marketplace, Amiable. I really wanted to see if they had more than their MP listings though, because you can never really tell if someone keeps their marketplace up to date or not, without visiting in world on occasion, or being up to date with their released through subscribo’s or group notices. I also wanted to see if this divine dress had any more options, as I was sold on the white, but I was still trying to choose between it and some of the florals.
The white won me over though, as there is a need for this style of dress in all white, that every girly girl needs in her life. There is alpha loading in the dress, and even though my hair is long and rigged at the front, be aware that the alpha in the hair will mess with the alpha in the sleeves – I photoshopped mine – but you can just wear different hair, because the dress is just that beautiful, but pay attention when demoing.
The style, the a line style and just how adorable it is, makes it all win. I knew that I wanted to have equally awesome hair for it, and when I saw the NEW RedMint style had this amazing cap in white, with a trim that I could match to the brown trim of the dress collar it was a perfect match. The hair actually has two tone options, but I just wanted that brilliant black to really contrast against the innocence of the white and brown. The hat has a hud option for hat and band, so you can play around with that, and the black hat with white band looks awesome.
The look is finished off with the strappy Seattle shoes from Essenz, which I have been wearing off and on all week, because even though white shoes are not usually my go to, this style just had to be in white for me, and the combination of this look is fantastic.
What better way to look all white and frothy, than in front of a Milkshake Vending Machine, the Collabor88 item by Flowey for this round. How cool is this thing, I did have to make it bigger though. It seemed too small to me for a vending machine, and yay mod. There are other colours and no milkshake in the opening option, as well as being able to get a milkshake to hold from it. Must have items if you just want to add some fun to your sim or your home, I think it suits our studio perfectly.

I love that most of the items at My Attic this round looked like they were all one set, but actually broke into wearable pieces in their own right. One such item is the gorgeous Maxi Dress 2 piece sets from Girl Thursday. You can actually see Whimsy with the top of the dress in the same colour HERE. The belt on the skirt and the way it sits, is just perfect for this sensational top from Tulip. Honestly that store kits you out from head to toe, when there a month or so ago, I was lucky to get out without picking up the whole store. The front of the top is just beautiful, but the back is WOWZA!
I also love that the colour matches perfectly with the Toronto heels from Essenz, another of the stunning sets of Slink Add-ons that they have created, and this brown is just lovely. They come in 6 colours the shoes, and if it is your style of shoe, then check out the fatpack pricing.
The Arcade is starting on Sunday, and all of SL is a Twitter, and a Plurk and a Facebook with chatter about it. The hair I am wearing today is the LA version of London to LA by Exile, and both styles are just too perfect as updo’s that can be both casual or glamorous. If you have not seen the shopping list for The Arcade this round you are going to need to start selling things and maybe even cash in a 401K or two ( I don’t really know what a 401K is, but they say it a lot on TV ) The collections are superb, and this time around I am going to be hitting machines harder than I have ever done in the past, because there is just so much want and need and needing to want and wanting to need.
I am super excited about the Nylon Oufitters collection, because I have recently purchased three items from her RL selection on Society6 and they are coming soon to my RL and I cannot wait. One of the items is actually in world with The Arcade items, it is the most awesome artwork, and I am so excited that I will be able to have it in both worlds. If you have not shopped her Society6 store for yourself, then do so for others, because I cannot imagine anyone anywhere not wanting something from this selection as a gift, I chose totebags as my purchases, but there are cushions, art prints, phonecases and so many more options, I think I am going to have to get a clock as well.

The skin and Visage appliers for the Slink Visage head I am wearing, are again by YS & YS. This is India, and she is so pretty, I was having a hard time choosing between the selection of new faces for the Visage appliers there, but this tone was perfect for my look, and there are tones from light to dark all the way through. I do wish that YS & YS would do tones of the one face though, because you can get attached to a face and just want to go lighter or darker on seasons.

It was an incredible day running all over the grid today. The highlight was getting to talk to Essenz Shoe creator Senzati0n Domenitzo. Her store is full of incredible footwear, not only her own foot in feet shoes, but also recenly she has added Slink Compatibility and the styles are flawlessly beautiful. A fun and easy way to keep track of the names of the styles, is that they are all named after cities from all over the world. Today I am wearing Cancun, a stunning ankle boot open toed look with a multitude of thin straps from toes to ankle. The textures on these and all the footwear I managed to walk out with, are just superb…you will be seeing a lot of Essenz in the future from not only me, but anyone with a love of truly stunning footwear.
I am not sure how my style went from what I had on at the start, to how I ended up at the finish, but on our travels we visited not only SHE & HIM but also the Dark Style Fair, both of which are Flair for Events events…not to be confused of course with Flair the store I own :P. We had a great time, and the Cancun shoes are actually part of the She & Him event.
From top to toes I added along the way to my look. The top being this adorable batwing headband, not sure really if adorable works with this idea, but I think it is just too cute. It fits beautifully in the upcoming divine updo style London, created by Exile for The Arcade. The Arcade June edition will start June first and you will need this hair in your life. There are two styles actually, one is London one is L.A and they both have glasses you can wear with them. I will save those for later. But the softness and just so pretty whispy parts falling loose from this style make it a go to look.
Then I came across this amazing neck corset/facemask by Lou Lou and Co. beautifully lacey and a perfect fit over my Slink Visage mesh head. I am wearing the small. It did come with many sizes, and very impressive it also had a demo. There is a white version you can get also, but it was the black I was smitten with.
This reminded me that in our past travels we had visited Tentacio and picked up this corset, with a really cool cage tutu look. The corset comes with a hud so that you can change the colour of the cage part, but I went with the black. Fitting perfectly underneath it, and in the right look for it, the bodysuit from Maitreya comes through again.
The beautiful skin I am wearing is by YS&YS it is the Greta skin, that not only is available as a skin on the default avatar, but now you can also purchase appliers for your Slink Visage head. There are hair bases, eye shadows and lipstick options in matte and glossy, with a great price. The hand and feet appliers you purchase in the area of the main skin, so that you get the correct skin tone. I really love how the skins look with the Slink head, and am looking forward to blogging in the other skins available.
Make sure you all visit all three events, at least you have two great ones to keep you going until The Arcade starts.

Rock On Plaid!
I was doing my thing, and then got the oppurtunity to spend time talking with Cajsa and Whimsy, which is always a nice change from just listening to myself hum. I tend to hum a lot, I don’t remember ever doing it before, but since quiting smoking 5 years ago, it is all I seem to do. Sachi says it is because I am happy, but I think it is just to keep my mouth occupied between talking.
When Mina sent us this NEW hair from My Attic we all just dropped everything to rave about its awesomeness. For me this is a truly levelled up moment, but also such a wonderful modern take on a classic look, I love it. It has a great mix of Rock-a-Billy with a Punk edgyness to it. That is why the plaid was just perfect, the skirt is wonderful and part of the Tres Blah release for C88. I was so happy to find that the top that Lacuna released for My Attic fits it perfectly.
I added some older items in the form of the armwarmers from Maitreya, that just fit perfectly over the Slink hands. I am wearing the Ingenue Sophia heels that are at C88, and they are just adorable, everytime a new shoe is created by Ingenue it just becomes a lovely addition to ones wardrobe…there is a real sense of passion for the genre as well with Ingenue staying so on theme with her creations over all these years – even though I do wish she would bust out and do some non vintage stuff just because of her skills and quality lol.

A Printsess
I totally stole Whimsy’s blog post look today. I was just arriving home and saw her in the lovely Tutti Frutti dress that is at My Attic. I love the looks of these dresses, and Whimsy has styled it up a treat, you can see it HERE on her website. One of the reasons for the theme for this edition, is because of the designers we have that are just such wonderful users of prints, and bold patterns. One of those is of course Tutti Frutti.
Whimsy is wearing the Prints version of the dress, and I am wearing the Printsess version – Yay for Mels made up word. I love the wrap around style, and it is such a lovely look for anytime of the day or night. Wearing the yellow, made it a must to wear some fantastic shoes I picked up on one of mine and Whimsy’s shopping sprees. They are the most glorious add ons for the High feet in this amazing style and fantastic colouring. The ankle straps are studded and chunky and you can make them silver or gold with the hud.
The jewellery is so inexpensive and can be picked up on MP for a few lindens, it is actually older sculpted jewellery from a very well known store that branded and rebranded a few times, they were once Glam but now the creator of the jewellery has the older items up.
Last to my look is the stunning and sleek style of hair by Lelutka called Amanda’s there have been other Amanda styles over the years, and it is really cute to think of her as maturing over the years with her hairstyle.

Peek a Boo
When I was little, I really loved watching ‘Land of the Giants” it was so cool a show, and then of course the ‘Honey I shrunk the Kids” movies were also a lot of fun. For some reason, when I saw these gorgeous retro pieces by The Loft @ C88 were modify, it was with excitement that I was able to resize them and play my own little setting of fun.
In RL I have a table and chairs similar to these, my chairs are orange and my table top is yellow, but I just could not resist the pink and black options of these sets. The texture work on these are perfect, glossy and well detailed, then of course the modeling of the mesh is up to the level you can always expect from The Loft. I really was glad that making them so big didn’t lose any of that detailing.
The clothing is also part of this round of C88, the shirt has been seen all over the grid, every time I venture out someone is rocking its look…and the high waisted jeans are perfect. To finish off the look is gorgeous Cats Eye glasses by Yummy…these are perfect in shape and size, and look just perfect for any glasses wearing look you may be going for. I am starting to get such a wonderful collection of eyewear from Yummy, I cannot wait to see what Polyster has in store for us in the sunnier months ahead. The hair, so adorable and cutsie is from Ploom, and is at this edition of My Attic. It has texture change ribbons on the hud, as well as a huge array of colours to choose from. The poses are also by Ploom, and as I was going with a theme, I wore skin and Visage appliers by Plooms other brand for skins, White Rabbit.

The post I did earlier today was actually a picture I took yesterday, so apparently I had more photos in me for today. I saw this dress on Marketplace and just fell for it, and the fact that the whole store is on sale for 50L just made it even more exciting to share.
I was dressed and ready, knew the hair, the shoes, and knew I needed a cross necklace – no clue why of course, but it just was what I wanted – so to Mandala I went, well the MP page, as I was there anyway. Now this dress is a little bit of a cheat, by that I mean that it is a model for one type of dress, that was textured in a way to not show the other model attributes. So with that being said, you will need to be careful of water or other alpha like things. But it was easy enough to shoot, and I just love the style so much.
It has a very late 60’s feet to it, and with the stunner clunky mary jane style shoes by Faun that are at My Attic, it was a no brainer look. The shoes are a two for one look as well, with the straps being an option with the hud, so do not miss out on these they are a bargain for the Mid Slink feet.
Izzies released some NEW darker tone Visage appliers for the Slink Visage head, and I was so excited to put them on, I have on the tanned and yay. The lighter shades are more a Whimsy thing and I tend to go tanner, so this is a bonus for me. It also helps that they have a lovely hair base, because this gorgeous style by Emo-tions needed it, and the head – at the moment – doesn’t come with one, but that will be an update shortly at Slink.
This hairstyle is so super glamorous, the sleek waves are just divine, and whether dressy casual like I am now, or super glam gown and all, this style will definitely fog up your mirror.
I had some fun with this pic making it a gradient at the bottom, just for effect and fun, so trust me the skin isn’t grey at the bottom 🙂 .

My Attic has started another edition, and the theme is Pin-Ups, Prints and Printsesses. The theme actually came about because of Mel, as I had the prints part and then needed something more, as we have so many great creators in My Attic that are really wonderful at creating rich textures that really make an outfit pop.
I love what has come of this session and being able to mix and match with some great Collabor88 items was a bonus, as their theme is currently Milkshakes and Turntables, so you have a wonderful array of vintage goodness.
I was able to pull out an older Winbox the Change Room/Funk option and use it as a backdroup for my pictures, totally digging my look, because I feel like Sherilyn Fenn .
The top and skirt are a gorgeous ensemble from SySy’s at My Attic, and the top and skirt are separate pieces, you also get a black belt or same belt option. I love the style, the classic lines, and the options, because you can mix and match the colours, or use other items with them.
The incredible shoes are by Lindsey Warwick, also a My Attic item, and wowza the platform on these are incredible. They work with the Slink Mid Feet, but what extreme height you get out of them. The accessories are amazing, they are C88 items. The beads are by Yummy, who you know I love lots and lots, and these beads just really do bring out the bombshell in me…I can just imagine twirling them through your fingers, running them gently over your partners ……… lets leave it there, it just got too steamy up in here.
The bag was something I spied as soon as I arrived at C88, I may have screeched to Whimsy about it being a Must Have, because she is bag crazy, but this is so adorable, and has a texture change hud that you can use to change strap and body of the bag. Not only that it has different hold options, as well as rezzing versions, very cool indeed.
Finishing off the look is the Tart hair by Koy, this hair is sexy personified. For the coming springing into summer months, this hair will be a must have for many looks, so get it now at My Attic, while it and all the other amazing items are only 95L.

I got sent a tester applier set from Sachi Vixen of Adam n Eve today, and well I could not resist using it in my post, she is not going to be able to change it now, I am just that mean. It is a make up applier for the Taliya skins she released for the Slink Visage mesh head, and this is how gorgeous it is on Emma.
A few weeks ago Whimsy and I went to Seasons Story Event, which I mentioned, and she posted here. She has the luck of the rare that girl, were as I play just to have a turn and then I am happy with what I get, but she got this amazing tram, and lots of other goodies. It felt like the perfect setting for some Collabor88 items that are with the theme Milkshakes and Turntables.
This amazing dress is by Katatonik and has the perfect Diner feel to it. The sizing is not standard sizing, so be sure to try demos, but I am wearing the average and it fit me fine. It was also the perfect outfit to wear with my new headphones. How adorable are these. They are by Remarkable Oblivion – yes I went back after the other day, and bought everything in site, well almost – and met some lovely people over there as well, Ew and Nipper – waves.
I love these cat ears stereo speakers headphones, they are just, well, remarkable! There are also bunny ears ones, but that felt too themey to me. They fit perfectly over this gorgeous Lamb Hair from C88 called Peggy Sue, which is such a perfect style and perfectly named…makes me want to watch Peggy Sue got married now. Not only has it got those perfect bangs, but also a lovely single wringlet pony look to it.
Make sure you go and grab all the goodies and get your own diner look going, it is fun, and with the Lorelei shoes recently released by Slink for the High feet, I am ready to spend the night glistening and bopping and all the things that are fun. The shoes use materials to make the most incredibly realistic sparkle , you need to see it to believe it.
