    BOOM BOOM ROOM

    Boom Boom Room

    League Hud

Shoetopia is almost coming to an end, so is My Attic for another session. While good things come to an end, it leaves the way for New things to begin. The Arcade is going to start on the 1st of December, and so is the Stuff in My Inventory HUNT that I am participating in with Flair.

The last total I saw so far for Shoetopia was over 5000USD, which is an incredible effort, and there are still days to shop for all the wonderful shoes created for this event. I have been unable to blog as much as I wanted to, because I had mouse issues, and honestly, as much as we know we use our mouse in the day to day functions of computer use, it really is astounding how complicated things can get when they malfunction. I was able to get a new one today though, a snazzy 7 button mouse, not that I need that many anymore, as I haven’t been gaming for a long time, but one never knows.

I was aching to blog these boots since day one of the event. I got caught up though, and really wanted to create another look that while winterish, wasn’t exactly snow overload. I think I found a nice in between, kind of a punked out wintery look, with the great boots by League, that if you have not fatpacked these, you are insane. The HUD for the fatpack has so many combinations of awesome, that you can go on for days and days, they will definitely see you through this winter and beyond.

Tucked into them are the leather leggings from Tres Blah and a really old top from BOOM. Finishing off the look is this great vest from Pink Outfitters – House of London, that is at My Attic. Only two days left of that too, so don’t miss out on everything there being only 95L. The skin I am wearing is also at My Attic, and not only do you get the skin in all sorts of combinations of brows and cleavages, but also appliers for Hands, Feet, Lolas and Lush breasts…all for only 95L its a STEAL!.

In other news, if you cannot hold out until the HUNT, then run over to Flair and make the most of the last day of the 50% OFF Everything SALE I am having, you will also find a FREE set of Nails in the My Attic subscriber when you join, even if you had joined in the past, please do again, because I accidentally wiped it all.

    Tulips that are tiptoed through

    Tulips

Where has this month gone, one moment it was here, and now its almost gone! It is hard for me down here in the heat, and I say this every year, that I am going to blog summer clothes all through summer, but then I fall in love with all the wintery goodness. So I have to mix and match some middle of the road looks, and this one has not only a snuggly feel, but kind of an ‘On Safari’ concept, that I just love.

The shoes are add ons from Shoetopia, and on my few rounds at this event, it is these that were the first to have me hit the brakes to a screech and exclaim with a big OMG! everything in the Tulip booth is just wowza, and these are just one of the must have items there. The colours, and the texture work on these great mesh creations are definitely worth a spin around again if you missed them your first time. I don’t know how you could have though, shame on you 😛

They work so well with the shorts and turtleneck I put together from Mon Tissu and Celoe. I love the system and mesh combo of this jumper, it just makes it so easy to wear with mesh, without losing any of the mesh styling. I also like the shading on it a lot, I swear I kept thinking I could see the line of my bra. The perfect hairstyle to bring it altogether is one of the styles at Collabor88 by LaViere. The LaViere hair just gets better and better with every release, and if you don’t have it, you have to get it.

My Nails are one of the combo sets I released by Flair at My Attic. The My Attic event is in its 4th day, and only on until the 30th, so do not hesitate to run over and shop lots.

    Industry

    Industrial

Industrial Chic is the theme of this months Collabor88. Mixing the beautiful items from various stores, with the fabulous Luscious Platforms that are a Shoetopia item and a Slink feet add on. The platform of these shoes are fantastic and high, with the option of baked or materials ready texturing. They come in three monochromatic colours, and each one is a must have. Though high and extreme looking, the more subdued style of the pants is a wonderful combination for these shoes, and the addition of this incredible corset ties the look together.

The choker I have on is also from C88, and its metal gears and loose chain style is remarkable mesh work. Heavily detailed, and yet incredibly delicate, it is just stunning work, and has an interesting art deco ambience. I felt that the mix of two styles from LeLutka made a nice change. I love the loose strands at the front of the recent Helen release, and so added the older bun from the swish style, then modded to be larger. I was going to add a hair accessory, but decided that the lovely earrings from Epoque fit the bill.

I hope you can make it over to Shoetopia soon, so that you can marvel at the great footwear at this event, and also check on Collabor88, even if you went early on, it is always a good idea to look around two or three more times.

    Theadora

Thousands of years ago, the beautiful daughter of a God ‘Theadora’ fell in love with a mortal cobbler. She had been promised to the son of another God, and he was enraged at this betrayal. He sought revenge, and turned the lovely Theadora into stone. Her father pleaded with him to turn her back, but to no avail, the only thing that could turn Theadora back was the small fountain at the base of where she stood. The catch to this, was that the fountain must have only natural falling water – rain – and where the Gods live above the clouds this is not a common occurrence.

Once every hundred years, the celebration of the Gods brings all the elements up high, and with this there is rainfall, the fountain fills to the brim, and the lovely Theadora transforms once more into her human self. The problem is, that the effects of the rain only lasts through the day, until the rain evaporates from the fountain and she is turned to stone once more. Theadora herself is unaware of this magic, she is oblivious to the loss of life she endures for a hundred years, and she is still hopelessly in love with the cobbler, who because he was mortal is long dead.

Deeply saddened by this, her father spends many months prior to each celebration, scouring the land for footwear of the finest fabrics and styles, so that his daughter awakens to a stunning selection each time, and believes that they have been left for her by her true love. She then once choosing the footwear she will wear, goes off in search of him, accompanied by her father whose only wish is to see her happy in the time that they have.

Shoetopia is upon us, and the incredible event spans 2 sims, and is a heavenly experience. The theme transcends the norm, and the build is a delightfully easy path to follow. Gatcha machines set up on the sides, 100% donation kiosks , as well as booths with extra items from other creators – such as myself and Whimsy Winx – who have put out reduced items that will donate 100% to Soles4Souls. Each booth at the event has a minimum of 1 item that is donating 100% to the charity, and then all other items are, a mix of old and new. Some stores will have familiar styles, and some have created brand new creations, letting their customers wait in anticipation of this event.

Slink is one such store, and not only have they released a brand NEW high foot for the event, but three new styles of footwear to wear with it. The Demi boots, the ones shown come with a hud that turns on and off the toecaps in metalic finish. The donation item in their booth is the beautiful blush pair, that will be EXCLUSIVE during the event, and not sold in that colour afterwards. The detailing is fantastic, and I always love open toed boots.

One huge surprise though is the booth layout for the SLink booth, the statue, such as Theadora that inspired my little made up story, is the main feature. With the overall build of the sims, it is understandable if you were to think they were part of the build itself as they are so on theme, but on inspection you will see that they too are created by Slink, the statues, the planters, everything in there is made by Siddean, which is just amazing.

Shoetopia opens on the 15th, so you only have to wait a little while longer. The slink demos went out to the Slink group in world the other day, so you can try those early. There is also a Shoetopia Demo Group, and hopefully the shoetopia stores will start sending through that soon.

    IMPORTANT :

Now before I start with the fashion, I wanted to point out a feature in Firestorm that I have only just seen in the Beta viewer for the first time. This may not be new, or it may only be in the beta, and a planned option, but if not look for it, because it is probably one of the most important options in there.

You can see from the image where it is in preferences (Ctrl P) and it will ensure that no scammers can con you out of your lindens. During this years Hair Fair and reportedly other events in the past few months, people have made groups that charge a few hundred lindens to join. They are spamming people at laggy events with them, so when the person is trying to remove the invites, or accept items they have purchased, they can end up losing money. So please for your own sake check the box, and don’t let them take advantage, and tell everyone you know to do this too.

    Now on to the Fashion,

I fell instantly in love with the Lulu dress from The Secret Store, its vintage beauty and incredible meshwork, makes it stand out in a crowd. The style is a combination of I love Lucy and Stepford Wives ( the original ) with a little Bewitched thrown in for good measure. I especially love the richness of the brown and white combination, it is such a charming frock that you will feel all feminine and beautiful, with a little skip in your step as you enjoy the day.

The hair from Lelutka – a recent release – just adds to the charm. This style comes in two pieces, which can be added to with the help of a hairbase if you prefer. The ribbon comes with and is worn as an add on attachment, and has texture change menu options. There is also a gorgeous pearl and diamond tiara, that can make you a perfect Princess, or can do for a formal or wedding type event. Just so elegant.

Slipping my slink feet into the perfect Mila flats by Ingenue, just made the perfect sunday look for me – yes it is sunday already down under – I was definitely delighted that the brown in the shoes matched so well with the dress, and the peeptoe front just accentuates the vintage charm. Speaking of shoes, Shoetopia is coming up fast, and I cannot wait. The event is a huge undertaking and will be a pleasure to attend. the event is going to be raising donations for Soles 4 Souls and it starts on the 15th of November, so start saving up, because there are going to be some incredible footwear must haves all over the place…two sims full to be exact.
