Ruffled – My Attic, Collabor88/August
I was out and about shopping with Mel last night, and we found ourselves at Vista Animations. I have done posts many times where I have stated that I use animations as well as static poses for my posts, well todays pics were actually taken with dances by Vista. Their dances selection has grown a lot since I was last there, and the fat packs of each type are definitely worth considering as they are a good saving.
With animated poses/dances, the best way to shoot the pics is to use ‘slow motion animation‘ settings. You will find that function in Develop menu. To get develop menu up, you first need the Advanced menu (Ctrl Alt D) then scroll down to the bottom and activate Develop Menu, then you can find it in the Avatar sub-menu. This will slow you down enough to capture some great shots.
With all this movement, I wanted some hair with movement, and Felice from EMO-tions has lots of it. This hair is very entertaining, it is transition hair, meaning it is scripted to change from one style to another, and was a big hit at Hair Fair. I swear I did a whole lap of the fair changing my hair back and forth over and over again and giggling to myself. Transition hair is not new to Second Life, but this style is one of the best I have seen of this type.
Another advantage to using animations and dances, is that you really get a good look at how mesh moves with your avatar. The first outfit has these wonderful frill shorts from G*field. They really remind me of 80’s tiered skirts, and are so much fun and a great fit. The socks and bolero are also G*field and I need to wear both a lot more often as I just love the ruffled edging on both.
The second look is with the Dorota top from Glam Affair, which is part of their Collabor88/August items. The classic elegance of this top is just divine, with the ribbon along the empire line, but with that modern mullet effect short front long back look that is definitely popular at the moment. I am wearing it with the Zoey leather pants from Erratic that are just great, but would look just as wonderful with a skirt or even hotpants underneath. I did have to wear a larger option of shirt so that the back didn’t clip with the leggings. I also added the Deliciosa bra – part of the My Attic release from Cynful – to both looks, the first it of course covered up everything, but I also loved adding the red edging that peeks out the top of the Dorota shirt.
Lastly and also from Erratic, the Amy silk blouse is a shirt that I have seen on so many fashionable women of late, and rightly so. The loose fit, the wonderful cleavage and the perfectly collar are just some of the great attributes of this blouse. The colours are rich and lovely, but I cannot help but wonder what it would look like with a print as well, curiosity wise of course. Erratic has been releasing amazing mesh and more to look forward to.

Red Leather Yellow Leather – My Attic, Vintage Fair, Zodiac, Collabor88
As I mentioned in an earlier post, only a few days left to visit events that are winding down, some starting and some waving bye bye for the year.Collabor88/August is a MUST to visit if only for every colour of these amazing leather leggings and the fantastic half tucked tee. Seriously this tshirt is incredible, it not only looks perfect with these stunning leggings – the texturing on these is superb – but I have been wearing them with jeans and all sorts of other things for weeks now. I hope so much that this shirt gets released in more colours when it hits the main store for Tres Blah, because in RL this shirt is the kind you would buy in every colour in multiples for each colour just in case you could never get it again.
To help with the tucked look, the buckled belt from Izzies was just the ticket, they come with two buckle colour options, and I am wearing the silver buckle version. It is mesh but not rigged, so you have resize options of either scripted or edit manually.
The hairstyles I am wearing are by Ploom, the beautiful head-banded style comes with a texture change hud for the fabric, as well of course of the individual colour packs of choice for the hair. This style is currently at Vintage Fair, and the other great style is Vespa, which is another blunt bangs vintage look, that is available at My Attic @ The Deck/August.
Accessories wise I am wearing some shades and necklaces by Dumani, a new brand to hit the grid, with some really good mesh skills from what I have seen so far. The necklaces fit me well, and the glasses are great, but I suggest trying the items before purchase, which you should always do anyway, because things will not always fit, and rigging in some cases – not this one – may not work well for you, so always try before you buy if that option is available. The colours and prints Dumani are using are vibrant and fashionable, so make sure you check them out soon.
Now about the skin, this is Shyla, a brand new skin by Belleza. The mouth is gorgeous, the make ups are wonderful, and the tones are just lovely. The skin was made for darker haired avatars, but comes with the red and blonde brows options, I actually went with the red brows for the face shots. The smattering of light freckles across the nose are really lovely, and the skin comes with extra lipstick options in tattoo, so that you can interchange the eyes with the lips and so on, making the fat pack a great value release. The poses I am using for this post are by Adorkable Poses, you can check them out at My Attic as well as Zodiac, as they are both from event releases, and so lovely, especially the fact that they come with mirrors.

She wore an itty bitty – My Attic/August
While Fiachra was doing Dolphin Flips and swimming as a stringray and whale around me, I took this picture of the Ribbon Kini by Pididdle that is part of My Attic @ The Deck/August. He was also showing off his Junk, but that is an entirely different story, and cleaner than you think.
The bikini is adorable, and yet very sexy the way the straps are placed a the fact that the fabric barely covers the breasts, but not in a tacky way. I especially like the ribbon detailing around the waistband of the panties, I would actually love to see more of that on things like skirts or shorts.
The new hair I am wearing is Lover 2.0 by Epoque. Epoque is one of those stores that does great hair when they do hair at all, but it is unfortunately too few and far between, I am hoping that with mesh now that will change, and so far it seems to be looking that way. The textures of Epoque hair are very rich and lovely looking, with a great sheen, The blunt bangs and the back parting of this style make it easy to wear with lots of looks.
Only a few days left of My Attic @ The Deck for August as well as Vintage Fair coming to an end for the year, one event that just started up for the month the last few days is the next session of Zodiac which is on Virgo for the month. There is only another week or so left of the huge Birthday celebration of Collabor88/August, so you wont want to miss that either.

Twiggette – Vintage Fair, My Attic/August
Only a few days left of Vintage Fair 2012, and it has been a wonderful event. So many truly inspired takes on the whole concept of vintage, from all different time periods which has been really cool to see. The dress I am featuring in this post is the Printed Shift Dress by Ison, they did an amazing release for this event. Three stunning dresses, and footwear, all with a very 60’s influence, and the styles would have any lover of that era chomping at the bit to get their bodies draped in such beautiful pieces…I know I was.
The shift dress is a delight print wise and colour combination wise, and while normally I would rock out some white boots for this kind of look, this softer tan colour just brought out the beautiful creamy tones in each dress colour combination. I have taken the pics in the third of the WinxBoxes released for My Attic @ The Deck/August, this is the Stirred WinxBox and has texture change everything, this is my favourite of the three released, because it has both the very Mod 60’s influence to it, but also the colours and ‘racing stripes’ give it a fun Music Video kind of feel, you need to try it to see what I mean.
The hairstyles worn in the pics are all from different stores, which is not something I have done in a while, the Fedora style is from Argrace, and I just love hat/hair as many know, so this was a must have, the style and length of the hair is perfect, and the fedora is really well made and beautifully textured. The second style is actually Ison hair, they recently launched a hair line at Hair Fair 2012 and this style is so pretty and wavey goodness. The third was a KiK release, and the face framing fullness of this style was just wowza for me, and perfect for this Mod looking look.
Don’t forget to take another run through Vintage Fair before it ends for the year.

For England and Archibald – My Attic, Vintage Fair
Archibald the cat is in need of your support, and so is his owner Gospel Voom. Archibald was hit by a car recently, and his injuries are very bad, and his vet bills and care needed are adding up. Today the truth district location of Gos is having a 50% off everything sale, as well as some other content creators who have put out special items that will be donating to help with these bills. So for those of you that have a pet or like me – have had a pet – you know that this is a heartbreaking moment, and your shopping up a storm could really make a difference to lighten the stress load.
The boots I am wearing in this post are the curvaceous boots by Gos, I have posted on them in the past in detail HERE , but in case you missed it, they have a wonderful amount of detailing as well as options of customisation, especially if you go for the fat pack option – and at 50% off this is your time to do that. They went especially well with this fabulous dress and skirt option that is the Elymode release for My Attic @ The Deck/August.
The Sean dress, also has the high waist skirt as a separate wearable, and I am so in love with the options that you can come up with. I went old old old with my upper parts for this post and loved revisiting some of my favourite older pieces from such great stores. The Sean dress also has a HUD attachment that gives you an extra 6 options of colour for the top, that makes it a must have all over the place in every colour, especially at the price it is during the event.
The Postal Jacket from LeLutka – LeUltra brand – actually has a mid length train attachment, but I did not wear it as the fit was not perfect with the skirt. But how wicked does it look together, especially with the boots. Then another classic is the shirt from the Frill Suit by Izzies, this also has a story and past post, that was very telling of how successful this creator would end up. I mentioned that I had loved the outfit, but had wished the layers weren’t all stacked and saved as one, something I have done in previous posts…but Izzie Button saw it and within two hours of the post she had reuploaded all the layers as separates and repackaged and resent to all that had purchased it…AWESOME. So as you can see, the shirt on its own with this amazing high waist mesh skirt, looks fabulous and very elegant.
The wonderful hair I am wearing comes from Wasabi Pills, and the vintage do is of course at Vintage Fair, but this other style, is so awesome, and would look great on guys, and seriously reminds me of the claymation christmas movies from childhood and I LOVE THAT, it really reminds me of this guy, bad pic but I love this hair even more because it does.
The poses I am using are by Miseria, who is also a guest at My Attic @ The Deck for August, Miseria used to be at The Deck full time, and we have missed her, so we were extremely happy to have her join us for this session.
I am full of links today…anywho, have a great weekend and think of Archibald and spread the word on how you can help.

Shaken – My Attic/August
There has been all sorts of great prints and colour blocking styles in fashion lately. This what fun to have this kind of effect as a static object that you could use to cast shadows as well as be a splash of colour or a backdrop of bold. Such is the Shaken WinxBox that is at this session of My Attic @ The Deck. The dividers each have their own pose included, and you can use your own poses to just use this over and over again. The walls, floor, lights and ceiling all texture change using five very earthy type rich colours, and the effect came out very effective in my biased opinion, seeing as I helped create it with Whimsy Winx. Everything is mod, so you can pull it apart, add your own things.
The other day I was watching a movie that was based in Miami, and I was thinking that I would like to see more of a Miami influence in Second Life, as it is so lively from what I have seen. Then the release of the new pants by Boom came out called Miami Linen pants, and that was enough to make me happy. I really like the wide legged look of the pants, especially seeing as one of my favourite pairs of jeans from Boom are her wide legged flared pants she did a few years back. These linen pants come in an abundance of rich colours, and they are standard sizing, so they fit well.
The top I am wearing is another My Attic @ The Deck/August item, and it is a wonderful plaid tube top in mesh. I like plaid a lot, and this grey one is really nice and easy to mix and match with other solids, there are a few different colours available, and each plaid print has a range of colours throughout, so you are sure to find one you really like, or all. Whimsy did a post of the top with a layered look to it, which really does give it more option, and is flirty and fun even though more coverage.
A recent release at Exile is this Darling Nikki style, I especially like how it is backcombed with height at the back, and the really nice tucked behind one ear look, so pretty with great bangs. A really lovely layered style. Lastly and newly released are the Gradient Nails pack from Izzies, there are regular and metallic, and they are in various sizes and with pose and without as well, which is handy – pun pun pun.

Orange Peel – FaMESHed
Earlier today I was laying out some building stuff, and Whimsy built me a lovely courtyard area to nestle it in. I ended up picking up the build, but couldn’t give up the chance to take a pic with the lovely bits and pieces that ended up a great space for this bistro table set by Cheeky Pea that is part of this months FaMEShed. FaMESHed has such an interesting assortment of items, from clothing and other fashion related items to homewares that are must haves, all under the one roof.
The other gorgeous FaMESHed item is this maxi dress – yes today is maxi dress day – by Rebel Hope. I really like the wave design, and it comes with colour and white or colour and black choices. The tank style of the dress is really fun and refreshing, and is a great way to show off broad shoulders. Cascading over these shoulders is the new Exile hair, also wavey and really attractive style wise. Finishing off the look is the jeweled butterfly necklace by Maxi’s. I really like that she does short and long versions of her jewelry, giving you the option to draw the eye to the right placement of jewelry. The Necklace is part of the Collabor88 release which is their 1 year anniversary special, so you really need to be sure to visit before it ends.

Daisy On – Vintage Fair 2012
So I was looking all over for a place to take a picture, that looked as though I was out and about. Of course then it dawned on me, what better place to shoot a post containing items from Vintage Fair, than at Vintage Fair. The build is a delight, and the space to get a good pic is really nice, I only got rammed into once, but then it was my fault for being right on the edge of a corner.
I am using my VR Studio HUD and Mobile Library, loaded up with the Status Poses by Gidge Uriza that she did for Vintage Fair, it makes it a lot easier for posing on the go, and I am able to combine thousands, or make copies of the mobile library and just fill them dependent on store or type of pose. The set the pose is from is the Explorer set, so be sure to check that out.
The wonderful full maxi style dress is from Geometry. So much to love with this dress, first off the beautiful ruffled cap sleeves, so pretty. The length and the texture is wonderful, and then of course the elasticised bodice. I do not know what this feature is called by name, but when I was little so many of my favourite frocks had this effect, and it was even brought back for a while in the mid 90’s and I went overboard buying up everything. I even had a dress almost identical to this one as a little girl and I have a picture of myself sitting on a cannon in it somewhere age 3.
I wanted to add a little something to it though, so I grabbed the mesh cardigan belt from a Mimikri, and really like the look. A bag from Mon Tissu, the Esprit shoes from Maitreya all finished off with some gorgeous hair from Wasabi Pills that is also a Vintage Fair item. Then to bring all those soft browns together, I added the tigers eye set from Essentia, and I am off for a day strolling the stores and enjoying the sunshine – even if it is 4.55 am here.
Go and make the most of Vintage Fair while you can, the build is great, and you can even purchase the stores from the Trompe Loeil booth at the fair.

Royale Affair – My Attic
My Attic @ The Deck just opened its doors a few hours ago, and the theme for this session is “Shaken not Stirred” . Even though I did feature the Cynful lingerie Deliciosa the other day, I wanted to show you all the colours available at the event, as well as one of the new WinxBoxes by Whimsy Winx and this time around, I collaborated with her on three of them, which was a lot of fun. With the lingerie, I also worked out that if you layer the colours under each other, you can get a cute effect such as pink under black or white, and blue under each and so on.I am also wearing two of the hairstyles from My Attic @ The Deck, Ingrid which is by Mina and a lovely pulled back tight style with a great headband that has texture change hud options, all very glamorous and it comes with a hair base that keeps that tight sleek look from the hairline to the headband. The second style is Tracey, a piled high ponytail that is partial mesh, and also comes with a hairbase. Both are very Bond Girl/Elegant styles so definitely worked well with the theme.
I have spent the last few hours out the back verandah of the My Attic build, also built by Whimsy Winx, and had a great time chatting to people as they looked around, had a great chin wag with Evion Ember too *waves* I am actually still talking to her as I type this on my other monitor lol.
I hope that you all come by during the event, it will run until 31st of August and all items are 95L until it ends. I will of course feature more from it and everything else going on. The next Zodiac event is also about to start and Vintage Fair is still on for a while, so don’t miss them.

Only days away from the next My Attic @ The Deck and I am excited for it. It will start on the 21st of August and finish on the 31st. Today I am doing a sneak peak of the Cynful Deliciosa lingerie for the event. The lingerie comes in many colours but this white was a perfect way to feature the stunning new shoes by Celoe.
The Petal Sandals are all mesh shoes with foot built in, and they are just divine. The roses are beautiful and highly detailed and the straps are just wonderful. The look of them reminded me of the movie Marie Antoinette, so I gave it a spin this week and really enjoy that movie. I did also catch a mistake in the film that made me chuckle, you can see it HERE as I was able to Gyazo it. Apparently it is a known mistake, but I did not see it the first time watched at all.
The Petal Sandals have that beautifully crafted look for special occasions, and I can imagine the white worn for weddings most definitely. But the colours they come in and the straps and heel really open them up to be fun to wear with all sorts of outfits, or lack of clothing altogether. The HUD for tinting the feet is perfect, and allows for saving of
The new hair I am wearing is from Exile, and is really pretty, there is an added rigged attachment for this style, and the cascading curls look delightful and really suited my mood for the pics. I wanted to go the whole way, and created a face tattoo for the powder face look, but left the lips bare so I could wear one of the Baroque lipsticks by LaGyo at this months Collabor88.
Another Collabor88 item is this hanging bed by Cheeky Pea. This comes in an adult option as well as regular, and has three colours to turn to, the purple – very royal, and black or green. There are many poses built into the item, and while I think it is great, I do think that some of the more computer based poses would be out of place if purchased for an RP setting. It is modify though, so you could perhaps remove them for realism sake. I set the bed out on the verandah of the other Collabor88 item the Tower of King skybox shown previously, both must haves.
