Pure Juice no pulp
One comes up, one goes down…Skin Fair is coming to an end this weekend, but an another event is taking its place today.
Pure Juice is starting today and some of the items shown in this post will be available there. So much pink and blue, but with an event named pure juice it isn’t surprising that you would have such vivid colours available. Some older items too in the form of footwear today, the stompers that I love from The Abyss, and some old Juicy Slingbacks as the Juicy sims are hosting the event.
The hair that Exile made is just awesome, with cherries interwoven in the hair, I was explaining to Whimsy how expensive cherries were down here, and that our first box of the season is always auctioned for charity, this past year the 5kg box went for over a hundred thousand dollars, such an awesome thing to do for charity. The neon 80’s looking dress is part of the event also and totally looks like something from a video clip from that era for sure. Next to it I have on part of Tutti Frutti’s release at Pure Juice, there you have a blend of pink and blue, so cute, and the really subtle print on the tops of the jeans is a nice change.
Two lovely jewelry sets are from Mood and Carolines Jewelers, soft and sublte but definitely can be worn a little dressier, especially the pearls and floral set from Carolines called Antoinette. The blonde vintage bangs ponytail from Elikatira is actually a small pack available at The Dressing Room Blue as a guest item, so gorgeous and the price is wicked.
Lastly the skin is the latest from Belleza, the Melissa skin is as usual a beautiful face with 19 skins in the fat pack, with regular, cleavage, hairbase options and an extra 7 lipsticks so you can mix it up lots and lots, the eye make up in these skins is stunning, I am so loving the smouldering and smokey looks but with such depth of colour, the blues and greens especially are just divine. Make sure if you haven’t been to grab them yet, demo demo demo.
Pure Juice is a collaberation event with Chic Limited and the Juicy sims, an effort combining many incredible designers under one roof, don’t forget to look for info on how to attend, you wouldn’t want to miss out.

Five and Flirty
New hair, New hair, such a fun way to start any day…reminder that Hair Fair is coming July 2nd to 15th so stay tuned for more info on that.
The five beautiful styles of hair I am wearing today are the latest from LeLutka, they are such different and yet believable styles, that you would think one could become another with the help of some good product. The other exciting thing about them though is that they have ROOTS! darker texturing done at the top of the hair to show a more natural look, you can see it in the demos, and it is divine.
I had some fun styling the looks to go with the hair, a little bit of country, my church going school marm look which had me in fits and terrorising Whimsy and Newdoll, my girl on the go look, followed up with night time fun and end of weekend beach look. I love having fun this way, it is what makes Second Life Fashion so incredible, and blogging so awesome.
Three of the backgrounds came from the Second Life Stock Images Group, I am so addicted to using them now and making more, you should definitely try it.

Mourning Call
The fair is still on, and while on a jaunt around town with Aisling, I was able to with her help revisit some items I had thought were gone for good…
The Mourning Dress from Sur+ (previously lark) was for an event, and I didn’t get it at the time, because we only found out about it close to the end. Luckily for me I was able to get another go at it, and it was the perfect compliment to the Rosalie Skin by Adam n Eve that is available in a special release at Skin Fair.
The mourning dress does actually come with a frill collar, but it was making me nuts for no reason, so I took it off. I am all about the love for all the pieces in the set, I do wish though that the corset and timepiece were seperate items, though you do get the option of so many attachment points already chosen for you. I might have to attack it and take off the watch to wear the corset solo one day. The watches are actually buyable on their own, one even comes as a mouth wearable – smaller of course , I had that thing in for a few days last week.
Another great timing release was the new hairbase and hairbun release from Nylon Outfitters, the base is gorgeous, you get five bun attachments with each one, and there are two options to choose from, this is the swept to the side bangs one, and I love it.
The Rosalie skin from Adam n Eve comes with all the usual goodies, and as I mentioned is a special pack at the fair, you can also pick up the apple on the table for some great gifts from Sachi, as well as look at all the new Make Up layers now available, she has some really cool themes going on.
The background I am using is from Second Life Stock Images Group, and is actually by Kala Bijoux, I so should have worn her wings from Material Squirrel in the post, bad Sasy.

Here’s a story
Bring the basics back. When thinking basic T’s, Tanks and Jeans in an abundance of colours, I always think of places like Celestial Studios, LaLa FooFoo and now Jane. Jane is of course a new store name and new store in general to many residents, but the designer behind the brand is Janie Marlowe of a much older brand now run by another person altogether.
I am so glad that Janie opened Jane, a really nice collection that is growing steadily, and the work on the clothing is wonderful, finishing items so well even when covered by prims, it is a delight to shop there, even more so when you tp in looking in hope that she might have a tshirt in a colour close to what your looking for, and you end up walking away with a pack of 31 for 50L, on all layers. AMAZING DEAL! It is actually called the Layering Tshirt, and it really is perfectly named for just that.
While taking the pics of the new Baiastice Skin Marina, I stopped in my tracks when I got to this make up, that was it, I was not going to use any other for my main pic, it had to be this one. I was already in the red top as you can see slightly, and it was totally so easy to find the tshirt as stated, one tp and back again, in all of about 40 seconds if that. It was actually the easiest thing in the whole post, as I have been having rezzing and unrezzing issues for weeks now, but finally had to change viewers to stop the insanity, it took me seriously 3 hours to take those pics.
Well worth it though , if you are a lover of red lipsticks then the Marina skin is a must try for you at Skin Fair. It has an incredible tone range, the pale ones are gorgeous, and the make ups as you can see are very deep and seductive. If you are a Baiastice fan clothing wise, then you will totally enjoy these skins as they are a perfect combo.
Speaking of perfect combo’s the Fallen Tears necklace is just stunning and coming in both gold or platinum and diamond it has a simplicity that allows it to be worn casually and an elegance that can keep it on for dressier occasions, I don’t know the reason of the name, but for me the design has such a spiritual quality to it, something like being reborn, which I guess often after a big cry is how you can feel. Whatever is going on there it is a Must Have set by MOOD.
Once upon a time – some of you know this story – there was a girl – in her mid thirties lol – who came across a blog and fell in love. That girl contacted one of the owners of said blog and sent her a big texture begging to be allowed to participate, the texture was because the owner was so slammed with notecards all day that she worried hers would get filed away as she wasn’t new and she didn’t need new people hair lol.
So the adorable and ever so famous Six Kennedy responded within moments and said YES, then said she was going to contact the other partner of said blog and that is how Sasy met Garbage, who welcomed her with open arms, and an open mind and gave her the keys to the executive blogging room and it has been an incredible ride ever since.
Garbage Prototype has been around forever and ever and ever, he is so far from random anymore, but still is random by name, store name that is. I went for a visit late last night and probably grabbed a few of everything, the prices are insane. The styles are so very much like Random of old, but brighter and better with the amount of years tucked under his belt, and I for one am in hope that he makes hair again too. The top and the jeans are both from Random, and they are great, easy to wear pieces, the pants don’t have cuffs, but that is fine, because they are finished off well and come on both layers, so if you panic, you can tuck them into boots.
Don’t forget that the Garden City Relief Event is still on, that Vanity Universe Skin fair only has a few days left, and that Pure Juice is coming…

Important for Designers
This is IMPORTANT so please, if you are a content creator and even a customer, please read. Also please help spread the word.
A few years ago we got hit with a very annoying bug, I did a post on it back then, and it helped those that read it. The bug is a perms bug, turning modify items into no modify items, even though they still show in inventory as being modify.
The situation then and now is this, if you set your perms in your inventory on prim items you have a very high chance of being bugged, and don’t think you haven’t been, or that this doesn’t apply to you because it hasn’t happened. Some customers wont let you know because they just think you made them that way, so frustrated they will trash them, or because you may have a fairly generic shape/size, your customers rarely need to mod an item.
The customer not letting you know, or just accepting it is the worst scenario, if you as a customer believe a prim attachment should be modify, so hair, clothing pieces etc – rarely shoes – then please look at how the perms show on the item in your inventory before you just accept that it just doesn’t mod. If an item says No Transfer, or No Copy ONLY then it should be modify, only when something says NO modify in the actual line of info is that the correct perm choice.
If you go to mod an item that should be mod, and it is usually when you go to edit size that you realise, if it doesn’t work please contact the creator as soon as you can, explain to them you have a no mod item that should be mod, and ask them to replace it. Also, and this is really important too, explain to them about the perms issue, and that they MUST set the perms on the ground, not in their inventories or it wont work.
Every single time this has happened to me in the past year, the response from creator has been they are setting perms in their inventories, and when they rez and set in world they stay the way they should, so please protect your items, because the constantly having to provide customer support for these things must be driving some of you nuts.
Spread the word….

Rich Girl gets a Pony
I used one of my own backgrounds again, submitted to the Second Life Stock Images Group on flickr, I feel like one of those TV Chefs that pulls out a plate of scones ‘I prepared earlier”. Kind of nifty actually having the backgrounds all at the ready, and so exciting when you see people using them for ads and stuff.
The other day Aisling was taking pics with us at The Deck in our VR Studio’s, we are so cute, we all have our stands tinted different colours so we know at a glance who’s are who’s, so when we want a change of poses we swap. So anyway we were gasbagging about whatever in skype and Aisling mentioned hair and UrfUrf, a hair store I am ashamed to say I knew nothing about. So off we went and bam, bought out most of the store. One of the styles I am sporting from them is Clarissa, I love this style, it is the everyday all day do you can’t live without. The textures are all mixed up over there as I think they are changing how they do their hair packs, but well worth the visit, I have already been back since and bought their newest in only three days lol.
The other hair I am wearing is created of course by Maitreya, the winner of this years Glance Awards for Hair and Shoes, so proud of Beau and Onyx for being so awesome, and also on letting me embarrass myself and I am sure them by losing voice during the event and doing a backflip on the stage because I was so upset on letting them and everyone else down. But the hair ROCKS!.
My look today is totally rich girl gets a pony, snickers, seriously I love this look, thanks to the new release by Mon Tissu of this gorgeous Rockaby Blazer, Infinity Scarf and Cozy Tee, bringing it all into gear with the recent boots from Royal Blue and the not so new Jodhpurs from Prelude.
Still in the last week of Vanity Universe’s Skin Fair and the skin I am wearing is Bella from Xplosion. The skin comes in five different tones, each tone with 8 make ups, eyebrow and hair base options, lashes and stuff I wont mention because it is evil and there are six of them lol. Bella has an incredible cleavage, like WOWZA I thought I had accidently slipped on my slider by another 20 or something, but nope all skin. Try the demos for sure at the fair, they are really beautiful and make sure you wear a nice cleavage baring top.
I am showing off the tones in the new Dolly Set by Miseria, I love when Miseria releases, the items are always so random and divine, the detailing on this set is gorgeous, look at those cute and still sexy little buttons on the sides of the body suit and gloves. You could totally add a gown skirt and have an incredible evening look. You can see I have added the lovely jewelry set by Eclectica called Flounce in Champagne, lots of pieces to the set, and you can wear all or some depending on your mood. This would be a beautiful set for someone special that adores formal wear.
